United States and China Cultural Exchange

On June 22, 2024, three students from China and three from the United States engaged in a cultural exchange program. They exchanged each other’s native foods such as 小笼包, Taco, Sweet Pork Ribs, and many other dishes. They discussed each other’s personal experiences of eating their native foods for the first time and expressed their desire to try each other’s native foods. They also discussed different types of meals that both people in California and people in Shanghai would eat at different times of the day. Overall, it was a friendly and respectful discussion about their experiences of their native foods and their experiences with other types of food. Since then, the students have exchanged each other’s contact information to be friends.

The students who participated in the International Cultural Exchange Program included:

Destiny Jezzell Lopez, Nicole Martinez, Lei Qian, Wang Yongting, and Yu Wantong.
